Where did you grow up?
I was born just outside London & my family moved to Dublin when I was 3 years old.
What is your defining passion in life?
Food! I’ve been into making, baking and eating food since I was a kid. When I made the connection between animals and meat aged 15 I went vegetarian and a couple of years later I was mostly vegan. I went travelling around the world for 2 years when I was 19 and was hugely inspired & intrigued by global cuisine, restaurant culture and eating habits. I started a vegan food business last year and I’m so excited to grow it and see where it takes me.
What would you say is your best trait?
I have a positive outlook and good intentions in life. I look for the best in people and see the world through a rose tinted lens. Most of the time this lends itself to me being in a good mood and enjoying each day to the full.
What’s your worst? (go on, we all have them!)
I’m a bit of a pushover sometimes & can be too nice. Sticking up for myself in friendships & business is something I’m working on in 2019. I’m trying to teach myself that this doesn’t mean i’m mean, and people will respect me more for it.
Who inspires you?
Other small business owners and creatives, hustling and working hard on creating the life they want to live through an amazing product/service they’re passionate about.
How did you learn about skincare and beauty while growing up?
Mainly from following what my friends and peers were doing. There were a fair few embarrassing moments in terms of makeup and self tan but everyone was doing the same – and anyways that’s just a part of growing up.
What does beauty mean to you now?
I think it’s more of a feeling. I know it’s cliche but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You could be the most *by societies standards* beautiful person on the planet but if you don’t have the self esteem to see that and feel it then what’s the point?
