hi, i’m chrissy – a.k.a. the founder of dollar hippy club (circa 2015).

my vision and idea for the brand sprouted slowly with roots reaching back to my own experiences dealing with sensitive skin and the advice I gave over the years to friends and family for natural remedies and effective ingredients for their skin afflictions and every day use.

I suffered with rosacea for 7 years from the age of 15. my story sounds like so many others! getting prescribed steroid creams from the doctor, and being told I would have this for the rest of my life. and me (young and carefree) – not knowing any better and not thinking to do my own research. fast forward after a few years of daily use (as instructed) and I left my trusty cream at home while I went away on a trip with friends. after one day of not using it, I saw and felt the full force of my skins addiction to the steroids. big, angry welts on my face. I left early (in tears) and started my journey in to the world of natural skincare.

here I am now, with a wealth of knowledge, and completely cured of rosacea.

I have always held great respect for the environment, spending as much time as possible outdoors and enjoying what nature has to offer. this has been reflected in my business ethos and methodology – with the use of no chemicals, and wholly recyclable materials with minimal plastic used. with such great personal results gained with the help of natural homemade remedies, I am committed to spreading the word of the power of Mother Nature, helping people with their own skin afflictions and trying to create a greener, brighter future and a growing international community that shares these same values and can connect through the club.
