A-Beauty – We’re here for it and we want to talk about it.

So last year it was all about K-Beauty (Korean Beauty) and J-Beauty (Japanese Beauty) and now the world just can’t get enough of A-Beauty (Australian beauty) and for obvious reasons, we couldn’t be more on board. Our approach to skincare (and beauty for that matter) has always been something of a less is more mentality.

While skincare regimes around the world can sometimes take 9, 10, even 15 steps before your head is allowed to hit the pillow, A-Beauty is advocating a more refined approach that sees the ol’ cleanse, tone and hydrate take centre stage once again. While we like to stop and enjoy our skincare regime as much as the next, our body is, quietly to itself, creating precious oils of its very own. The more you remove, strip,
eliminate etc., the more you are getting rid of all that good stuff your body is creating, causing irritation, and sensitivities all of their own.

Of course more targeted treatments can come into play, but without a shadow of doubt, Australians are turning the tide toward more simple skincare routines. Why? Because we want to go to the beach and 15 steps to good skin feels a little indulgent… even for us.

Our ingredients are a (natural) force to be reckoned with. A-Beauty has found a focus in simple, yet effective formulas that our customers just can’t seem to get enough of. More than that, we are doing it with our Eco Warrior headgear on – we want – and we can comfortably speak on behalf of Dollar Hippy Club (because, duh) – our products to leave as little as possible a footprint on our Planet Earth.

Dollar Hippy Club is all about the au naturel, multi-tasking products – the ones that are going to be just as comfortable on your decolletage as they will on your derriere. So let’s take a deep dive into some of our fave ingredients that are on high rotation at DHC HQ:

Kakadu Plum
This little Aussie icon, used in our Kakadu Plump Masque, is the richest source of vitamin C in the natural world. Get it girl! So we want to make the most of that vitamin C whenever (and wherever) we can. While we know masques have traditionally been reserved for the face, we urge you to try our Kakadu Plump Masque on your face, neck, chest and arms.

Hemp Seed Oil
While hemp seed oil can be sourced in different parts of the world, we use an Australian based hemp oil so we know exactly the quality that goes into it your favourite face/body/everywhere oil – Miracle Oil. As the Starks put it – β€˜Winter is coming’ – and so is fiercely dry skin. It doesn’t need to be this way. After a warm shower, take your Miracle Oil and massage it into your whole body – face included – and let it settle into the skin before dressing or catching your beauty sleep.

Organic Australian Local Beeswax
(No bees were harmed in the making of this wax)

Found in several of the Dollar Hippy Club creams and balms, our locally sourced* beeswax ingredient has proved itself to be something of a wonder ingredient for so many DHC customers around the world. Found in The Cream, The Ex, The Honey Pot &
Cannabutter, beeswax is particularly delicious for dry or irritated skin types,
protecting the skin against irritants while still allowing it to breathe. Beeswax attracts moisture to ensure the skin stays hydrated, while also serving up a wonderful dose of anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral benefits that we (and our customers) can’t get enough of.
The Buzz On The Street: Beeswax is coming to sa(l)ve the day!

For all you A-Beauty obsessed babes out there, we
know you will understand when we say – A-Beauty is here to stay.
